45 Hour Child Growth and Development
Pre-service Training
Service Description
This course entails a detailed study of major theories, concepts and research related to Growth & Development for children ages birth - age 12. This course offers 40 hours of in-class study and 5 hours allocated for field trip, Observation and project work. This course and a 45 - hour course in age- appropriate curriculum (preschool, infant-toddler, or school-age) will complete the 90-hour certification. This course addresses all information required by The Maryland Child Care Administration Preschool course content criteria. This course is required for Child Care Professionals and aligns with MD staff Credential levels 2 - 4. Please bring a packed lunch/dinner for a networking lunch/dinner meeting. Students will be introduced the study of Mind, Brain and Education (MBE) which is the latest concept that will familiarize early childhood professionals to the functions of brain and how it impacts learning and behavior in young children.

Cancellation Policy
Payment Policy:Payment is due at time of registration. Installment payments may be arranged with the Director by emailing kapchildcaretraining.com. To send a payment by mail please send your check/money order payable to: KAP Child Care Training Center, LLC 13261 Country Ridge Drive Germantown Md. 20874 or you may register and pay online at our website at www.kaptrainingcenter.com. Payments can be made by Zelle or check or cash. Certificates will be held if full payments are not received by the last day of the course. Cancellation If you find that you cannot attend a workshop, you must notify us in writing at least 10 days prior to the class. You may fax or email us your cancellation notice and receive a full refund. If we need to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will fully refund the registration fee. If you cancel between 9 days and 48 hours before the workshop, we will issue you a credit for another workshop having the same tuition. Late Arrival Policy: If the student is 15 minutes late and no notice was given 24 hours before, they can choose to stay in the class but no certificate will be issued. Students will be given credit for another training.
